Of the boyfriend/girlfriend type?
Hell, no.
When it comes right down to it, there are only two reasons to be dating.
(1) You want someone to have sex with. Or,
(2) You're looking for someone to marry.
Kids that young are definitely not ready for either of those options, so "dating" would simply be a waste of time, energy and emotion. The same goes for most kids who are older, even.

A relationship happens when you have something in your life you want to share with someone else. I don't think 10 year olds have a lot going for them, but then everyone is different. The best kind of relationship is when you have a hobby or favorite thing to do and find someone who shares the same interests. 10-12 year olds are certainly capable of doing that. You can't really have romantic love until you survive puberty so it's a bit young to look for a girlfriend/ boyfriend; going steady situation.

It depends. For a mushy make out kind of thing yes of course. I am a 12 year old girl, have hit puberty and love boys. But I don't want to go make out with them. Yeah hold hands and maybe kiss but not the gross stuff to impress other people. And not if it is for the bad reason. You yourself have to like this boy or girl not because your friends think he is hot! I hope i helped

wow...most 10,11,and 12 year olds are still grossed out by the opposite sex. My suggestion, when he/she comes to you and says i have a boy/girlfriend then just take it as that is there latest playmate. Now 13 and up...your in for the ride of your life.

No way! Take it from someone who did that already. I wish I wouldn't have ever started that boyfriend crap til I was way older. When you're that young you need just enjoy being young and having fun with your friends, etc. It's hard cuz usually your friends have boyfriends already but it's ok to be different! Think outside of the box!

Definately far to young to be thinking about that sort of stuff - they are still children and should enjoy their childhood. They don't need to worry about relationships etc until they are much older.

I married my childhood sweetheart. We were best of friends since we were in diapers (no lie), and by the time we were 9, were getting teased about how we were going to get married. We had HUGE crushes on each other from 11 on, started 'dating' at 13, he proposed at 18, got married a few months before we turned 20.
So...no.
But PLEASE leave the sex until you get MUCH older.

I read a newspaper yesterday about 9 years old girl get pregnant by her 9 years old boyfriend......i feel so shocked about it.....wonder what they thinking?...
Anyway back to the question....
For me it is ok for them to have a relationship but only as a friend first..

Even if they did, more than likely they wouldn't be in a serious relationship. Just probably sitting next to each other in the cafeteria or something. I wouldn't try holding them back though. It will just make them want it more.

Wow, you are going to get a lot of no's.
A lot of out of touch people on here. It's going to happen no matter what, and middle school you learn to interact with other people your age by sticking your tongue down their throats, that's fine.
Progressing it to anything more than that at that age would be outlandish. Yes, I mean sex, and if you giggled you are in trouble.
