To facilitate this, staff will only be allowed to access web content on any server outside the organization, using ports HTTP(80) and SSL(443). Acess to all web servers on any port is fine internally. All transactions must be logged on the proxy and associated with a user. To do this, the organization will need to commission a HTTP/HTTPS proxy. The organization uses Active Directory for authentication purposes.

Assuming you have Linux machine, what software solutions would you use to satisfy this requirement. What other software solutions/extensions will you need to consider to make this work? Do you think there is a need for policy - if so explain why? Finally what other technical changes will you need to make to client systems, servers or the network to enforce this?

I'd recommend using a switch to separate the Internet and private network. Using software firewall or physical or the router's firmware you can limit the protocols over the internet inbound/outbound.

The law states that the employer owns the computers -- ergo, he sets the rules.

Your inquiry re: setup requires an educated computer techie.

I can tell you, however, why the company needs this.

1. To see who is working his/her 8 hours and who is playing solitaire or whatever, and
2. because it is possible to bring in viruses and cause the company to shut down the system until it is cleared.

This has happened where I work where people checked their home e-mail at the office or brought in flashdrives or whatever, and the entire system had to be shut down for over a day. This cannot happen. Money may be involved in a company, but consider the consequences at a medical center or hospital.

“delivery administration potential birth control.” No, delivery administration potential controlling the type of stay births. birth control potential controlling the type of conceptions. oftentimes, in spite of the undeniable fact that, the two are lumped collectively. Contraceptive contraptions, working example the condom and IUD’s, avert births by struggling with concept, yet others, like the “pill” avert delivery by struggling with the embryo from coming up interior the mummy’s physique “birth control isn't an abortion.” Many varieties of what are oftentimes observed as birth control, often the “pill”, are abortion because of fact they avert the “fabricated from concept” from implanting interior the uterus of the mummy. The embryo (which has, by how, an entire, unique set of human DNA) is then expelled from the physique. This expulsion is brought on by the movements of the mummy taking the pill with the particular objective of starting to be implantation very no longer likely. “…an abortion does no longer avert concept.” No, it doesn’t, yet neither does the main extensive-unfold varieties of birth control ( a misnomer if there ever grow to be one) utilized by women persons. possibly its time which you studied up a touch on precisely how the pill works. It does no longer avert birth control BTW: Why don’t you in basic terms call the “fabricated from concept” what it extremely is; a toddler; an embryo; a fertilized egg? Do you think of it makes you sound “greater medical” to easily describe it? That’s like consistently calling the solar “our familiar potential source ” and by no potential in basic terms calling it “the solar”. stupid.
