I am going on vacation in 1 week and that is my period week and we are doing a lot of swimming and bathing suit wearing. What should I do??? I know I can't use a pad. Should I use the other kind??? HELP

Use a tampon. Your trip will be much more enjoyable.

I'm guessing by the other kind you mean a tampon. If you're going swimming you really need to wear one. I'm also guessing you've never used one. If you haven't done worry its really easy. I was a little nervous my first time, but its painless and really comfortable!

i've always heard that you should wear a tampon in this situation. just make sure not to leave them in too long and hide the string very well, you want to avoid the embarassment of people seeing it hang out.

a tampon is the best bet...but don't leave it in too long after getting out of the pool...change it often because it can cause a yeast infection, or other bacterial infections. u'll be fine, people do it all the time

Use a tampax. If you're not used to wearing them start off by using the really little ones. I promise they're not near as bad as they seem.

You will have to use tampons. (Remember to change them regularly)
Pads are not going to work if you go swimming - everyone will know you are on.

tampons! lol.
and who cares, its just easier to tell your friends your on your period so they can understand better, and you wont have to worry about being insecure or self conscious the whole time. everyone goes thru it, its natural

I wuld use a tamon if i were you. i dont actually like them. but u mite. but try it u might need 2 use vasaline (eww gross i no). its ok. if you dont like them, just tell your friends and explain. You could still paddle at the edge....... i know its really hard when its hot ay??? hopefully this helps....wish you luck

use a tampon. my first time using 1 was tough. my mom told me 2 use vaseline (sounds gross i no!, but it works!)
