As time passes by, family structures have been changing. We once believed that a perfect family is a NUCLEAR FAMILY ( consisting of parents and child/children ). However, it seems to me that now, many married couples are seperated/divorced etc. So do you think it is safe to say that in the future, there's a big possibility that there would be a higher amount of married couples divorced/seperated than the amount of the "perfect nuclear family"? Or if so, tell me your opinion what families would look like in the future?

Whether or not family structures continue to deteriorate in the future, a family consisting of a married, stable and loving husband and wife will always be the best environment for children to grow up in.

I don't think that the number of divorced or separated couples will ever out number the amount of nuclear families. Any change that does occur is going to take a long time and alot of globalization to occur anyway. I would predict that in the future, marriage will become less important and be replaced by the simple long-term to indefinite relationships that we now categorize as being boyfriend and girlfriend. The children will still have both parents but there will be no law supported committment between them.

Unfortunately, the "nuclear family" was rarely like the "Leave it to Beaver" ideal with Ward and June Cleaver, so it's not neccessarily a bad thing that some families split up: would you tell a man or a woman to stay married to their heroin addict, abusive husband/wife who drags strangers home for sex? Yeah, that's healthy for the kids.

I'm not too worried. Healthy families stay together.

yes, the wonderfull nuclear family where the atoms split apart and fly off in their own random directions causing other nuclear families to split apart and fly off in different directions, in the end what you have is a nuclear detonation
