so which teams will make the post=season in the Eastern confrence...give a detailed explanation explaining everything

Well...
There are the three division slots - which in my opinion will go to:
Atlantic - Toronto
Central - Detroit
Southeast - Washington
Then we have the record-based teams. From Atlantic New Jersey are resurgent at the moment, and will fall in. From Central we'll get Cleveland, Chicago & Indiana. Southeast will provide us with Orlando. I do not see Miami making it - despite the recent play of Shaq. I see the Raptors moving up, and Cleveland dropping a bit. Toronto will surprise a few teams, and don't discount the chance of them going all the way!
So, in my opinion it will look like this:
1. Detroit
2. Toronto
3. Cleveland
4. Washington
5. Chicago
6. Indiana
7. New Jersey
8. Orlando
It makes for some interesting matchups in round 1.
Detroit vs Orlando - not a great matchup for the Pistons. They'll win it, but it will be tough!
Toronto vs New Jersey - The Rap's to win this comfortably.
Cleveland vs Indiana - anybody's game.
Washington vs Chicago - Chicago to cause the upset. Tho' I'm not really sure it's an *upset*, as Washington have been WOEFUL recently (Arenas shooting under 20%!!!).
Still... whoever wins this, will probably face Dallas in the Finals - and would you even back the East All-Stars vs Dallas? I wouldn't!

The Piston are back on top- they will win the east. The rest is a crap shoot. Whoever the top 8 are at this moment will be the ones in the layoffs, I say...
