they are both HYSTERICAL and Sarah will probably be as much of a gay idol as Amy is... but strangers with candy takes the cake. Amy wins.

Amy Sedaris, hands down. Have you seen "Strangers with Candy"? Read "Wigfield"? Both testaments to her hilarious, zany wit and black comedy.
Sarah Silverman, to me, is annoying and errs more on the side of easy-outs in her humor. Not that she isn't funny; I've smiled at some of her stuff. But overall, she can't hold a candle to Amy.
At least, that's my opinion.
