I think the mets will do it again. Their hitting is just untouchable. the dodgers are pretty good and will probably win their division. But the Mets are by far the best NL team.

The Cardinals because they have Albert Pujols, Chris Carpenter, and Tony La Russa along with Eckstein and Wainwright. They might not finish with the best record, but they are the team to beat in 07 and they will win the NL Central the second strongest division in baseball. They have been to the playoffs 6 out of the last 7 years. and been to 5 NLCS while winning two and one World Series. They are this decades best NL team by far. I definitely have a good opinion of the Dodgers though, they are a very good team and I would love to see a Cards Dodgers NLCS. Go Cards! O and the Cubs will choke.

I'm not a big fan of the National League. They're like the Eastern Confernence in the NBA. Mostly all the good teams are in the American League (ie. Yankees, Red Sox, Tigers, A's, Twins, etc.) But if I'd have to choose one team from the NL, I'd choose the New York Mets. They had talent at the beginning of last year. People said they had high hopes of the Mets with speedy Reyes, power-hitting Beltran and Delgado, and the good youngster David Wright. But now, at the beginning of this year, all 4 have had completely monster seasons last year and come into this one after Reyes' big breakout year, Wright's continuing development into the best player on the team, Beltran's return to his original home-run beltin' form, and Delgado hitting homers out too. The beginning of this year is much different than the beginning of last year. This year, the team has one full year of proven experience behind them. Now, they can finally all show their true potential.

I actually agree with you, but not because they are due. It is because of the talent. They have a great starting pitching staff, a solid bullpen, and speed on the basepaths. The only question is the outfield defense, as Pierre does not have a strong arm at all. But they should be a very solid team, and my pick to go to the World Series from the NL.

Its a toss up between Phillies and Dodgers.
Phillies got their ace pitcher in Cole Hamels and a work horse in Freddy Garcia. Their bullpen might be a problem but it can be easily fixed with a trade. The hitting is pretty good and will only get better with maturity.
Dodgers have a very balanced team. They got speed up top and a lot of solid bats to follow. Very good pitching and bullpen.

Now there are 2 ways to answer this Question. The best record or the best team,I know I know usually the team with the best record is the best team, actually how many times in history has the best regular season record added up to a WS Title, most of the time it doesn't happen.I'm kind of a homer here i'll say The Defending World Champion St. Louis Cardinals. This team is gonna have a murders row batting line-up with Eckstien,Duncan,Edmonds,Rolen,Wilson,o'ya and Albert
