Does anyone out there think that it is acceptable or "functional" for a woman to have two husbands? Assuming that they live in different states, she has children with both of them, and she and all of the children split their time between both men. Also assume that the woman is honest with both men and there are no secrets between them and minimal jelousy.

It's called "bigamy" and it's illegal in all 50 states.

hmmmmm, i like that word, minimal jelousy, whats minimal in terms of jelousy, would i only be jelous enough to get angry, or do something tragic? what is minimal

and secondly, is it fair to either husband that they don't get to be with you full time? it almost like a part time lover, hmmmm, i have to share? i hate to share, especially share my wife because she can't make up her mind of who to be with, and i am a bonehead for taking that stance, go figure

and then on top of it imagine how confused the kids are, they will grow up to think that this is an acceptable behaviour in society, imagine going from tv show to tv show to figure out who is my baby daddy, its like a lottery drawing because two or more guys will be sitting there rooting for each other and then congratulating each other

there are reasons why polygamy is not accepted as a standard practice

No I do not feel this is right at all just like i dont feel a man should have more then one wife. However in the cultures and religions that believe that one person should have more then one wife then the women in those cultures should be able to have more then one husband as this would only be fair. I think this is illegal though and is bigamy in most countries and laws.

i'm sure there is some man in this country doing this very thing, but it's hard enough taking care of one man and children. if everything is honest, why not everyone just live in the same house as one big, uh family.

not acceptable or functional.

So, you are going to force the states to change their laws, huh? Anything is possible. Have you seen the series on HBO about the guy who had three wives with all of them in houses next door to each other with the first wife being in charge? What is the world coming too that its getting farther out of control when it comes to the Bible.

It's illegal. Barring that, I would say that any adult relationship that is open and honest is okay - EXCEPT the children need their mother and father around. I don't see how the woman could be actively involved in the daily life of all children, so the kids won't have the stability they really need to thrive.

I dont believe it's functional, acceptable, OR legal. What's the point? And what does this teach children about moral values?

That is unacceptable situation. Do the kids get confused with their mom back and forth? Is there something wrong with these two men? Why do they have to share her? If they are really love her.

She has no husband. she just has two more kids to control. They have to grow up and leave her, it can't work.
Maybe they look at her as the visiting Ho who also watches kids:(
