ok.. first of all .. whoever wrote ohio state as underrated?? please check the polls.. anyways.. i think your MOST underrated team.. which is also one of my sleeper picks is oregon.... had a good year in a suprisingly good pac 10... and aaron brooks is a very very clutch player...had a few buzzer beaters this year... other than that.... watch for souther illinois.. they have a good run of late and could pose a threat as a possible 13/14 seed.... soo if your someone like kansas, nevada, texas.... beware of that 3/4 seed....

Maryland appears to be peaking. They look like one of the strongest teams in the ACC right now. Poll-wise this team is definitely underrated.

Syracuse looks to be back on track and are currently unranked.

As far as majors go, these two are probably the most underrated currently, but I'm sure there's a few more hiding out there.

Now for Mid-major: Winthrop. Winthrop's only losses have come to UNC, Wisconsin, Texas A&M, and Maryland. All ranked teams now. On top of that, all of these losses came on the road. Winthrop might surprise in this year's tourney.

Texas A&M.

As good as they are, they are still flying under the radar. Nobody seems to give them a chance yet they keep on going. Acie Law is arguably the best PG in college and definitely underrated, even after one clutch performance after another. The team as whole also plays as one of the best defenses in the nation. If any team, they are one to watch out for come tourney time.

Maryland. Maybe not anymore, but they were left for dead 3 weeks ago and now they are playing as good if not better than anyone in the country. Every year you have bad teams like Memphis, Gonzaga, GW, Butler, Southern Illinois, etc who are considered good but dont play anyone in their weak conferences. If these mid major teams were in a real conference like the ACC, they would be lucky to go .400 in conference.

The ACC schedule is brutal and for Maryland to win 6 in a row in conference, 2 vs Duke and 1 vs Carlolina, is unbelievable. No team in the nation wants to see UMD in the tourney right now.

Definitely Virginia. They won 80% of their top 25 games and completely routed Gonzaga. Singletary and Reynolds are obviously the best guard tandem in the ACC and they have Mamadi Diane and Adrian Joseph to help with the contributions.

Georgetown; if you discount the first few games when they were still working on their chemistry, this team has played as well as anyone, and would be deserving of a 1 seed if you only looked at 2007 games
