Due to the rotation of the moon and the Earth there are spots on the moon that cannot be seen from the Earth......right? So would it be possible to put a base on the moon in a position that could not be detected from Earth?

I wasn't trying to make a point I was asking for answers. I guess that's why they call this Yahoo answers and not Yahoo Point.

Of coarse you could put a lunar base on the far side of the moon and it be undetectable from the standpoint of the Earth; however certain probes and satellites could easily detect it, regardless of what country it belonged to.

Yup. Rumor has it that there's already a base on the far side. Whether it's ours or not, I don't know. For all I know, the Greys have the far side.
