Many bank tellers work part time, and do not complete 40 hours per week. As such, they are paid on a per hour basis (not salary).

The amount per hour paid depends on the institution, and the local employment situation. With this in mind, the same bank brand (like BofA) might offer one wage rate in Redding (central CA), while offering a slightly different wage rate in Los Angeles.

I work for JpMorgan Chase as Teller for about 3 years now. Depending on the area you will only be making about $9-$12 an hour. Its a lot of a hard work, but can be fun. Good Luck
