I found out the sex of my baby when I was 16 weeks, the fact that you are 20 weeks you will get a more accurate result. I was told that I was having a boy and I did on Nov. 2nd... Congratulations!!!!

Ultrasound isn't infallible and the sooner you try to use it to determine pregnancy, the higher the odds are you may see a shadow that's just not there. If you're over 35 or so, it's often recommended to have a test called an amniocentesis, which is usually given at or about the 16th week. This test accurately gives you (by looking at the X and Y chromosomes) the sex of your child. Other than that......................relax ~ and know that whichever, you'll love it and wonder why you ever questioned which sex?

I think that sex differentiation will show up no earlier than 12 weeks. Any earlier than that and it would really be just a 50-50 guess as to what the baby will be.

they dont like to say the sex until 16 weeks, but you most likely wont have an u/s until 20. you can always do the 3/4 D u/s it isnt covered by insuranse but if you want to know like a month early taht is a way,

I think they are most accurate at about 20 weeks. I think I had mine at 18 weeks. I think if you have it done too early it might be too difficult to tell.
