I have a friend who I no longer want to hang out with . Ever since he started taking drugs he became a moron . I feel that I'm his last friend and that without me he will have nobody to talk to . Over the past couple of weeks I've been ignoring all of his phone calls but he just keeps ringing me . He wouldn't take it to well if i told him why i didn't want to be his friend . What would you do in my situation ?

If I were in this situation I would probably confront him. You should probbaly say somehting along the lines of you being scarred for him, you worry about him, you really want him to get cleaned up, and you dont think you are helping him by being his friend. Thats all true from what I gather. Maybe not being his friend until he gets clean is the smarter choice. He hasnt lost everything yet so he hasnt hit rock bottom. Sometimes thats what it takes to want to get better. But be there for him when he decides to get better or else you were never a friend to begin with.

Answer the phone once. Flat out tell him that he cannot be your friend if he does not get clean. Don't feel bad about being his last friend. He's burned bridges with his drug use. Maybe talk to his parents and work on getting him into rehab. He needs help. An interventionist should be able to help talk with him...if thats what u want to do.

Well, keep ignoring him since eventually he'll stop calling it's too bad that drugs have totally taken over the lives of many people and has caused them to lose everything from their homes to their families and sours all the relationships they have with those around them whether personal or professional or both.

All you're able to do is tell them of the various unfavorable aspects linked with drug abuse and in the event that they do no longer pay attention you already know you tried. cling out with different people who are not into drugs. If issues start up getting greater severe tell their mum and dad or the college of their entertainment drug utilization. as much as you do no longer desire to be a tattle-tale you should be saving their existence. If their mum and dad tension them to take part in a rehabilitation application then in line with danger they're going to see the fairly unfavorable result linked with drugs. stay solid nonetheless and don't supply in to the various pressures that are contemporary at your age.

Tell him the truth. Tell him that he has changed ever since he has been using drugs and you do not agree with the lifestyle he has chosen. Make sure he knows it is because of the drugs and not him. Offer to get him help to break the addiction to drugs. If he chooses not to then ask him to respect your wishes that your not able to be friends with him.

This is not rocket science. You have to straightly tell him not to call you because you do not approve of his behavior and don't want to get tarred with the same brush (get in trouble by being around him). You don't need to care about his "taking it well". You need to look after your own life. He voluntarily gave up having people's trust when he went off the deep end on drugs.

Keep ignoring him- his other friends don't have a problem with doing that. Why should you be the patsy? You're risking your future by hanging out with a drugger.
