I`m having light bleeding after getting the depo shot about three weeks ago. Is this normal?

Yes, normal for me in my situation. I then had no period for 7 years of being on Depo. Yes, it definitely makes you gain a lot of weight and started to lose some once I got off of it finally.

I had one Depo shot about 3 months after my daughter was born, and I also had light bleeding for a few weeks. My doctor told me it was nothing to be concerned about and around the fourth week it stopped. The only issue I had with the shot, that still lingers with me 9 years later, is the extra 30 pounds I put on that will NOT come off no matter how much I exercise or diet.
