There are many causes of dark circles, from age, heredity, allergies, cold or sinus infection, bone structure and glasses which are not so commonly known.

If you would like to apply home remedies to reduce dark circles, here are some of my suggestions:
Buy a box of regular, old fashioned unflavored gelatin (e.g. Knox) from grocery store. Take a small cup or bowl and put in 1 teaspoon of the gelatin mix. Add one tablespoon of boiling water & stir for a minute. Test it on your wrist to make sure it is not too hot. Then, using a cotton ball, pat it under your eyes as you would an eye cream or gel. Go lie down and listen to some music, or take a bath & let it stay on for at least 30 minutes. Then just rinse it off.Gelatin is very high in Vitamin K & Biotin. It will not remove your dark circles on the first application (but you will notice a difference), but if you do it daily for a week, and then 2-3 times a week for maintenance, you should notice a drastic reduction in dark circles.

Dark circles under eyes (Dark eye circles) caused by lack of sleep, fatigue, genetics, poor circulation of blood, hyper pigmentation (higher than average amounts of melanin, the substance that your skin its pigment), or illness. You can get dark circles as early as your twenties; at that age, it's usually hereditary. Dark circles under eyes may also be due to accumulation of toxins under the thin skin (possibly from excess alcohol, cigarettes,or coffee).
# Wash the face, then apply a skin tightening moisturizer around the eyes.
# Massage a few drops of coconut oil around the eyes to get rid off dark circles.
# Place cotton wool swabs dipped in cold milk on closed eyes for removing dark circles.
# Massaging eyes with almond oil is of great help. Massage at bed time daily, and in two weeks you will see the difference.
# To reduce puffiness of your eyes, grate a potato and almond paste. Use the mixture regularly on the under-eyes to get rid of dark circles and puffiness.More details see,

More sleep and water. But a lot of cosmetic lines have these creams or gels that help reduce the look of dark under eye circles....I don't know if they work. I just use a concealer.

Avon has a product for that but I can't say it works, I don't know. Look up Avon on the net. Also, some darker nationalaties are naturally dark under the eyes and it is there to stay, many people don't mind. You can use consealer also before applying makeup. Good luck.
