Because when I try to intall norton's anti virus I was have to uninstall my internet security which is a pain. I don't like the 2007 edition it is such a hassle. My comp has been lagging even though I remove all spyware, disk clean up and it keeps freezing on me sometimes. I'm really afraid of a virus. So does norton internet security come w/ anti virus..I've always wondered about it or did my money go to waste on updating. And if I install norton anti virus can i use the norton internet security add on pack w/ it?

Norton Internet Security comes with its anti virus, but in all honesty,,, once you load any norton product your computer is going to slow down to a crawl.
Seems to me lately that most of the security software out there has become bloated with so much junk.

Norton Internet Security does include anti--virus, so you have nothing to worry about. Norton tends to slow things down a bit because it is constanly working in the background, checking your computer.

I use Norton System Works on all my pc's, I have five , and it runs flawlessly and does not slow them down one bit. Yes it has anti Virus and you should use it. But some pc's have issues with Norton and maybe you should try another piece of software. Also try the link below, it is malware removal tool from Microsoft and it works very well. Save it to your desktop and run it every day. I do and it helps.

to placed it bluntly, Nortons sucks. I advise you carry out proper the following: a million. Delete Nortons. 2. receive any 2 of proper the following freeware anti-virus classes; Avast, AVG, Avira. 3. receive stepped ahead residing house windows Care and/or CC cleanser - all freeware. 4. Run all the above - with updates - to sparkling your gadget. 5. receive a loose firewall software - i take advantage of Comode - yet there are others. 6. regularly replace all the above. 7. Use common sense at the same time as downloading any classes or vacationing web content, or they offer the effect of being suspicious they likely are.. save in thoughts there is not any one hundred% way of being freed from internet nasties yet prevention and diligence can pass far.

Norton suite does contain antivirus. But if you are going for paid av solutions I would suggest Kaspersky internet security or f-secure internet security or nod 32(eset)
http://kaspersky.com
http://f-secure.com
http://eset.com
I am not saying this out of personal experience since all those I mentioned outperform norton in many antivirus tests.

if it is a security suite or total security then it has virus scan made into it, security or suites are usually better than regular antivirus because they usually have firewall, spyware remover and spam remover

check your package and make sure your computer has the required space and operating system
