Most of the realty business is affected by jobs and kids schooling.
A lot of jobs become available with new plans and budgets so home sales often occur Dec & Jan.
A very large percentage of home purchases are based on the kids getting out of school. That's why the busiest time is actually May and into June.

That depends on what your definition of busy is. If busy means entering, coordinating and closing sales, then the answer is YES. But you can only be closing these transactions if you were busy during the 'off' season prospecting leads and getting possible buyers to take the step towards home ownership. Though we tend to relax a bit in the winter and fall, a great Realtor is always busy on his/her business.
