Only the authoroty that has issued your residence visa in Dubai can cancel and stamp your passport.

For the cancellation you need to produce the required forms and your original passport.

Therefore you have to send your passport by courier, ie Fedex to your former employer with the request of proper visa cancellation and passport stamping by the Naturalization and Immigration Department of Dubai.

The UAE Embassy in Mumbai has nothing to with that.

Take care.

You can send your passport by courier to your previous employer in Dubai. I would suggest you to send the pp through any reliable person, presently in Dubai and ask him to contact your former company to do this. Otherwise your company will not follow up properly, will result to get back your passport on time.

The immigration dept will put the cancellation stamp on the same time. Once it has been done you can apply for a new visa. I think the immigration dept has forgotten to stamp it at the time of your visa cancellation.

Try your best, good luck.
