completely normal. it is the fluid between his joint that you hear not his little bones. To put your mind at ease ask your doctor next time you have a check up..Helpful hint is to write all your questions down. That way you will get all your questions answered.

I totally forgot that this happened to my baby too until I read your question. Her elbows and wrists use to crack. I asked the dr., he said it was normal. Eventually it went away. If your son is 7 weeks he probably has his 2 month appt. coming up soon. I would just bring it up to the doc. to make sure it is no biggie!

my baby's knee used to pop sometimes, and now at 6 months it no longer does... when you hear joints 'popping' it's just nitrogen bubbles in the joint.. completely harmless... don't worry... he doesn't even feel it.

How I wish people would not ask such questions in an open forum such as this. These people claiming to have knowledge on these matters could be nothing more than a pimple faced pre-teen boy who has nothing better to do with his time. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE contact your doctor or health department on this question or any other questions on your babies health!
