Bulls - better supporting cast, better team dynamics, Pippen would of kept Kobe in check, Rodman would of hounded every rebound, Hacka-Shaq would of slowed down Laker 4th 1/4 offense, who would of guarded Michael?

You have to consider what the two teams were up against in the league at their respective times. I don't think a 15-1 playoff record means anything. The only way you can compare these two teams is by looking at their abilities. The Lakers (or anyone) have no answer for Jordan. No one ever has. Rodman showed he could defend Shaq decently on his own. Shaq still gets his 20-30 points, but has to earn them. Kobe can't deal with Jordan's defense in a playoff series. By game 3 Kobe will be frustrated and crying like a baby. Jordan and the Bulls went against some TOUGH teams during their reign- Barkley and the Suns, Ewing and the Knicks, Malone and the Jazz, Magic and the Lakers, Bird and the Celtics, Drexler and the Blazers, to name a few. All those guys are among the 50 greatest players of all time. How many of those did the '01 Lakers have to face? Malone? An OLD Malone? Bulls in 6, end of chat!

If those two teams were to match up against each other, it woul have to be a scrimmage because Phil cannont coach both teams at the same time...

anyways...definetly the 96 Bulls...(i think they tied for the best regular season record btw...gotta look that up). Their starting five as well as the supporting bench was so much more dominate than that of the Lakers....

The Michael Jordan -Kobe Bryant matchup would occur...and there would be no answer for Shaq...unless you say Bill Wellmington/Luc Longly/ Dennis Rodman double-team and rotate defenders on him...

MJ and Pippen would penetrate constantly trying to put Shaq into foul trouble...

The supporting cast of the Bulls 3pt shooting included greats like BJ Armstrong, Steve Kerr, Ron Harper, and Toni Kukoc
Lakers had ones such as Brian Shaw, Rick Fox, Rober Horry, Derek Fisher, and you can throw in Deaven George if you want

Overall,,,it would be a really entertaining series,,,but the Bulls would win it in 7 at Chicago... since the Bulls had the best record during the season

Da Bulls. It's not like they didn't win the championship. So they lost an extra game or two. The Bulls clearly dominated the league and that team is one of the best EVER. No one can say that about the 01 Lakers.

the bulls record because they also won the finals. in other words they dominated from start to finish against one of the best teams the nba had. stockton-malone, payton-kemp, olajuwan-drexler, ewing-oakley to name a few.

I would say the Lakers. The combo of Kobe and Shaq, with Shaq having his best year made them unstoppable.
