Whenever i shower, and clean w/ soap and water, it doesn't help. I'm am not sexually active and have never been. I take a shower every morning, and by the time i get to school, my panties have this wet, slimy white stuff that looks like big globs of snot. It is so nasty. I have been to the doctor repeatdly, and the pills she givesme aren't helpful what so ever. This same problem occurs w/ my armits. I'll clean/shave in the shower, and when i get to school, theres SWEAT! And my mother doesn't understand, and i can't talk to my dad about it. I'm just afraid that i might run a guy off someday, and i don't want that. Though i want to tell my doctor why i think this is occuring (pleasure), i have a STRONG feeling she'll tell my mother, and i'll be in big trouble. So if you can, PLEASEE help me! I want to die!!!

Having vaginal discharge is normal, and it can be thick at certain times in our cycle and yep when it gets a bit thicker at the time we ovulate it can look very disgusting. If the discharge is cottage cheese looking when it comes to consistency it could mean that you have a yeast infection and this needs to be checked out by your dr. The treatment is real simple.

As for the dr telling your mom, due to privacy laws she can't tell your mom, especially if you don't want her in the room. Not unless they suspect something dangerous.

I would recommend talking to your mom though to let her know that you are concerned about this issue and would like to talk to her at length about this concern. If you can't do that then pls talk to a trusted adult friend if you have one, another female family member, or the school nurse.

ok...so you say that you think the problem is pleasure. most of the time when a woman gets excited, she get wet. some people call it precum. I believe this is what you are experiencing. this is conpletely normal. your vagina is producing this liquid so a penis can enter the vagina smoothly. No thing is wrong at all with this. The thing with you armpits is that everyone sweats. I do it all the time. you put deodoant on and it still happens. this happens when people sweat a lot. it is okay, as long as when you sweat you are not smelling bad. you should smell like the deodorant. you may need to start taking a shower in the morning and when you come home from school to avoid nasty aromas. you will see that it is all part of growing up. and dont worry about the doctor telling your mother. the doctor will probably tell you that it is all normal.

It's normal to have discharge. If it has a "fishy" odor or changes color then you have reason to be concerned. Try wearing a panty liner that will help you to feel a little fresher and Summer's Eve puts out a great vaginal wipe. I use them during my period and any other time I don't feel so fresh. Also, try to avoid getting soap into your vagina it can upset the natural bacteria and cause a yeast infection.

As for the sweating, I sweat more if I get nervous. Try Secret or Dove. They seem to work pretty good. There is also a deodorant called Certain Dri that is suppose to be for us "heavier" sweaters.

And, the doctor can't tell your mom anything that you don't want her to know due to the new privacy laws. I know I work for a group of doctors.

Hope this helps!

and the book that goes with it. You can most likely find it at the public library or purchase it at a bookstore. A great place to learn about your body and how it works.
