Like I have been saying for awhile, Youzhny is on a roll and might very well face Federer in the finals. Youzhny has never beaten him, but here's a prediction: if they play Youzhny will win. The guy is just playing great tennis. He will likely break the top 10 very soon.

Mikhail Youzhny is on a roll and would perhaps be the most dangerous player Federer could play at the moment. Youzhny already this year has won one title at Rotterdam, made the semi-finals at Zagreb (l. Ljubicic), and the quarter-finals at Doha (l. Ljubicic) and Marseille (l. Baghdatis). Youzhny last played Federer at this years Australian Open in the 3rd round, losing 6-3, 6-3, 7-5(5), and has played Federer in Dubai in the last two years losing in straight sets. His career record against Federer is 0-8 and, as great as his form is lately, he doesn't look likely to defeat Federer.

None the less, Youzhny has set himself up for a great year. If he continues like he has, he'll win one or two more titles and finish a top 10 player. He is number 18 at the moment (before he collects the ranking points for the Dubai tournament), but has been as high as 15 in January 2005. He has been a top 50 player since July 2002, so he has always had the class, but having seen him play, I'm not sure if he has the game to be champion.

Youzhny is a player on the rise for sure and he is developing into one of the top hardcourt players. But he won't beat Federer unless Roger has a bad match.

Youzhny is on a roll, but ask Fernando Gonzalez how much that really matters against Federer. He'd tell you it probably doesn't matter much at all. If Roger plays well, he will not lose to anyone.

There`s a possibility for Youzhny winning - no doubt. And I`d really want to see it happen... But there`s only a chance of that if youzhny plays as he did against Nadal, with lots of winners and crazy saves, and tries to cut down on unforced errors.
However unfortunately even than, it all depends on Federer and if he gets into best shape... I hate it but I guess its the truth.

Man, you're smokin' something REAL good. Federer is in a league of his own. It doesn't matter who you throw at him (unless it's Nadal on clay), he will kick there ***.
