A governor on what? There is an electronic governor inside the program of every new car's PCM that prevents overrevving of the motor and also prevents the car from going a calculated amount over the speed limit. Why do you think it is built in?

its built in as a safety issuse so you dont hurt your self unfortunetly. I know it stinks but there are ways to change it. like if its a obd 2 on the, you can reprogram it. or if its a older system then a obd2 they u can get it chiped i belive
