Biran, I think you part of the problem too, not the solution. "Mexicans" lack of education prevents them from thinking outside the box. The youth today in general are of illegal parents. Why should they instill American alegience when there here illegally. Your just a bleeding heart liberal.

The real question is why do white or Anglo-Americans insist on calling anyone with brown skin a Mexican, irrespective of the fact that many of them were born in the US, or in Honduras, Guatemala, Nicaragua, or other nations of Central/South America? Why do these same ignorant Anglos insist on asking American citizens for their green cards just because they are of Latin descent? Perhaps Mexican-Americans call themselves Mexican because that's what you keep calling them. Perhaps Mexican-Americans would feel more patriotic about the US if they were treated like citizens and not like enemies. Perhaps if you looked at enlistment statistics, you would discover for yourself the FACT that hispanics enlist, serve, fight, and die for the US in much greater numbers per capita than any other race. Then you might have to ask yourself this question: Why are you such a bigot against Mexican-Americans?

Do they have to be "patriots">?. This is America folks!. THEY ARE FREE to show respect to their origin. If the Whites who descended from Europe careless, than it is a different for the rest of other races. We have Asian-Americans, Mexican-Americans, African-Americans. The White careless about their origin, you are free to do that as well. Since there is no such a REAL THING called "American" we decided to name our heritages and origins.
