Connect the white wire to the silver looking terminal, the black wire to the brass looking terminal, and the bare or green wire to the green colored terminal.

Install the plug in the box; install the cover.

It sounds more like you're wiring a SOCKET for a screw in bulb.

If that's the case then those markings 660 watt and 600v are, to the best of my knowledge, UPPER LIMITS for the socket. If you're not talking socket for your bulb, give more detail. Most of the one preceding answer seems relevant still.

follow the directions that came with the fixture, otherwise hank has it right, if in doubt, call an expert out.
