Did an ovulation test help u get pregnant?

Question

My husband and I have been tryin to get pregnant for 5 months with no luck. So today i bought some ovulation testers from the dollar store. Did these tests help anyone get pregnant? If so, then how soon?

Yes! I used the store bought sticks for both of my pregnancies. Mainly because I am impatient :) Both times we conceived when the stick said I was at my peak. This really helps pin point the few days that you are able to get pregnant. Also, it can tell you if you are ovulating on a schedule. I tracked my periods and ovulation and had a lot of luck. I haven't gotten pregnant yet but I have been using them and they have helped me a great deal. They have helped me determine when i actually ovulate. I was off by a week!!! (that can be a BIG problem) I use the "answer" brand because the dollar tree ones dont work for me. I have heard they work really well as do the pregnancy tests but for me, something about the LH doesnt react with that particular test for me. You will find what works best for you!. Good Luck!!

We didn't use these particular strips, although I have read that lots of people have had success with them. We use the clear blue easy fertility monitor. It helped us get pregnant with our #1 after only 3 months (and having been on birth control for 18 years). We got pregnant with #2 after only 1 month (but sadly, had a miscarriage).

We're going to try again as soon as we're both healed emotionally and I heal physically. Good luck to us both honey!

Oh,yes!This is what i used.Every morning,about 1 week after my period i did the test to check if the ovulation had began.If it is positive you just take advantage of it the same night.
