Congress has the power to declare war. The question at hand is whether congress only authorized the war for a specific objective and the President has gone beyond the authority granted.

I am not against the war, but that's the point they are trying to argue.

It is that idiot Bush who wants to ignore the separation of powers. He thinks he has the power and right to modify laws passed by congress, and he thinks he has the power and right to do things without consulting courts, like get wiretaps, when that is clearly illegal.
