The miscellaneous pile in the middle, the one labeled "I dunno/Look what I found!/Does anyone want this?/What in the world---/ How did that get here?/I don't remember ever having one of these..."
Makes sorting a real adventure, it does!

Depends on which area of the house I'm sorting. Last year I sorted through my clothes and ended up with 3 garbage bags full of clothes to give to charity. I tend to wear basically the same stuff so didn't need to keep much.
When sorting through the basement, my daughter and I just reorganized stuff that sits in boxes and moved them all to one are piled up. The garbage stuff only ammounted to one bag of garbage and another area was for possible future yard sale stuff. But most stuff we kept because it was either camping gear or Christmas stuff.
