two houses away is an abanded house that needs tore down i saw a family of skunks makeing there way home right under the abanded house..... HELP!!!

I would contact Animal Control- they could at least offer you some helpful advice if they can't actually come out and remove the skunks themselves. Good Luck! Had a similar problem at a house I used to live in and it was awful.

We are almost finish remodeling an old home that was empty for a while. The first summer we bought the home there was a lot of snakes and " critters" living inside the home. If you do not really want to spend a good sum of money on pest control, then try moth balls. Place them around and under the house, it will smell for a short time, but the skunks noses cannot handle the smell, because their nostrils are so small. It worked for us. Good Luck!

Number one, are the skunks bothering you, causing a nuisance to you, digging around your foundation. If the animals are living two houses down don't worry about it. Most skunks living in a home don't even have an odor until they are disturbed. The only problem I would see is they are not on your property, even if you were to hire a WCO they may not be able to take care of the problem without the homeowners permision. Just mak sure all garbage, and food sources are gone and inspect around your crawl spaces, and outbuildings and protect your property from providing an invitable habbitat for them.

This is a serious problem. We've had a similar family of skunks that spray our house every year, usually around 3:00 AM, when we are sleeping. I have found that setting off the alarm of my SUV, with my remote key chain, scares them away before they do too much damage. TheCreate a very loud, uncomfortable noise from a safe distance. This makes them hurry away in fear. Good luck.

Very carefully.
Find a pest control place. They might charge a lot but also might give you a few hints to try.If the skunks leave in the day then if all the entryways are blocked, they would be out.

Amy & Elizabeth has the comparable thought as mine. I stay interior the city now, yet when I lived interior the rustic no longer basically did I chase skunks, yet ALL undesirable critters away with moth balls. good success.

Skunks can't stand amonia. Spread amonia around, it should drive them out.
