It was ok. The original was better, and since I kind of had expectations going to see it, I was a little disappointed, but maybe that was my own fault. At least they brought a horror movie out at Christmas time, those are always welcome for me!

May not be JUST as good as the original, but definitely good enough!
Like the original, it does have somewhat a creepy essence to it, but it wont exactly give you nightmares. The Violence/Gore is enough to deffinatley gross you out. The acting and storyline were definitely good. The characters are slightly cliché'ed but not so much that it makes you sick. You got the average nice girl(Katie Cassidy), the skeptic sarcastic girl(Crystal Lowe), the best friend(Michelle Trachtenberg), the "rich *****"(Lacey Chabert), and the tough sister in-law(Kristen Cloke). The Death scenes are mostly original (and disturbing at times). It definitely has some good humor and a lot of character.
The movie may not be perfect like the original, but for a remake, it definitely has more pros than cons! But please, judge the movie as its own movie, and don't compare it to the original. So sit back, relax, and have a Merry Black Christmas!

gah i hated that movie. i laughed through the whole thing.
