it doesnt but its hard to escape the world where money runs everything. money is the method that people use to keep other people down below them so that they can be first. Think about it. If suddenly everyone else had only one dollar and you had five dollars youd be the richest person alive and then youd want to stay on top no matter what. People want to have the best stuff but that stuff is limited so they have to have an edge over you to get it so that the more money you get the more comforts you can enjoy. Ive actually been thinking about this a lot lately since i have to choose where im going to college. if i go to college ill just be a part of that god forsaken system where im forced to be a slave to money then i die. instead i was thinking of joining the army or moving to the desert or becoming a fisherman on a boat in the arctic sea. Basically i just want to escape to a different world. In the end you have to care about money, or give up a normal life (or you could always try conquering the world)

Because money just represents everyone's livelihood. It's easier for people to exchange money than to exchange goods of equal value because the goods can be bulky and take up too much space and take too much time to move. That's the traditional reason. That's what you find out when you learn about the history of money.
Try to think of it like that instead
Also, if you are rich, or are with someone that is rich, you can just let good money managers manage your money for you and you never have to really deal with money.

Because that's what drives the world we live in, unless you live in 3rd world conditions. But just because it drives the world doesn't mean it has to drive YOUR life.
