I am 39 weeks prgnant and I feel like i go through periods of slowed heartbeat and periods of fast heartbeat. My dr brushes it aside saying its my body adjusting to pregnancy but it is making me nervous. Does anyone else feel this way?

Your nervous that's it.Every pregnant lady goes through this. You have a mixture of feeling happy, anxiety and sometimes fear.Think about your baby it will surely release your stress.

I am 38 weeks and the only time I notice a rise in heartbeat is if I get up from a sitting position too fast and also when I am having BH contractions. I think it's fairly normal in most pregnancies.

I'm only 19 weeks and I've noticed a drastic change in heart rate... I get dizzy and momentarily black out if I rise or sit too fast. My heart will race at times, be fine at others, but I do feel like it's pumping a little faster than pre-pregnancy.

I think your doctor is right, it's normal and nothing to concern yourself with. Maybe they can measure your blood pressure and heart rate at each check up, just in case? If nothing else, monitoring will make you feel better.

It's okay to be concerned... it's not just your health anymore, so don't feel like you're being high-maintenance or paranoid by asking questions or making special requests with your doctor.

i go through it too...just as long as your beats dont go above 110 you should be ok..i work as a tech with patients and im 27 weeks pregnant myself..and i get the fast beats where it feels like it is gonna come out of my chest..if you get too scared just take your index finger and your middle one and hold it on your wrist count the beats for 15 secs and times it by 4...normal ranges for adults are 60-90 but being pregnant gives you leeway b.c you are pumping more blood and straining your heart alittle more b.c there is two of you...good luck and congrats

mine changes for no reason too. I was told 6 years ago that I have a heart murmur, but my most recent Dr visit has said nothing about it. I think you need an EKG machine to detect one. It might be nothing with you though, so don't get freaked out.

Yeah...I do and I am 7 months....

I went to the doctor today...and had one of those episodes in the waiting room, I had to get up and ask for water to calm down a little...
My doctor said that she would refer me to someone...

It could be your pregnancy...or it could be something else..
If it really bothers you, don't let your dr brush it off........
