suggest he goes and gets a sleep study done. snoring happens for many reasons. they will determine why your dad snores. it could be something he can fix on his own like having a glass of water near by while he sleeps so he can prevent his throat from drying out or limiting his sleep while on his back. they can also see if its a medical reason, like my dad snored so bad and it turned out he wasn't breathing right while sleeping so he now sleeps with a machine and no snores from him at all. plus, it keeps him safe. the sleep study will determine the best and most effective way for your dad to sleep. and it helps you and for family out too.
