In 50 years, at our current rate of growth, there'll be 10 billion people on this planet, zero fossil fuels, zero coal and other natural resources. The burgeoning populations will be in the third world countries. War will be over water. Global warming will be in full swing in 100 years.

Can technology save the day? possibly. Will we change our ways and prevent the train wreck? doubtful. Will some cataclysmic event take place and bring our population down to more sustainable levels?..most likely

the world is unfortunately going to be a worse off place in the next 100 years...there are useless meaningless idiot-led wars going on. the earths fresh water and oil supply is begginging to run out and our planet is starting to be badly damaged at our own hands. global warming is human caused and we have ignored warnings for decades because we didnt want to listen. now we are complaining about the effects. it is too late to stop the damage. we can only try to make it worse as less as possible. we are polluting the earth with violence and garbage and deadly gases continuously. fortunately we will most likely be dead in the next 100 years though. it is a rough world to bring children up in...the rich get richer and the poor get poorer and no one seems to care about anyone else other than themselves...media is also a huge problem. we all need to face reality! and yeah this is the opinion of a fed up 17 year old...:D

I think worse because of the foolishness of people these days. Just because we are advancing in technology, most people think that our society is invincible and immune to any bad things coming. So, they continue to burn resources and destroy the planet... In the next couple years, there are definitely going to be some major inventions made that will be costly (possibly deadly) to the earth and the atmosphere... People should really start trying to save the earth and use safer products.

Also, I think violence gets worse as time drags on. If we have such a high rate of suicides, murders, drug addictions, bullying problems, etc... how do you think this will progress in the future?

Honestly, I am very scared for the future.

The World will be a better place in a 100 years.

First, the world will be more globalized, and work together in cooporation. This will allow us to find real solutions for the addicts, sick, poor, and lonly. Prisions will be revamped to "Correct" the inmate instead of just imprision the inmate. This will create a people who are more driven to create music and art, and thrive in happiness.

Technology will create the most amazing roller-coasters, transportaion devices (cars will be absolite in 75 years) and we'll reach further into space (our final frontier).

I think it's first going to get worse...it kind of seems like we have been reverting in the last 30 years...from the 'make love not war' in the seventies to people watching more violent stuff, acting more violently, owning more guns...shooting instead of fighting with their fists...
