I am 15 years old and im the best player on my team...im going to be moving up to the varsity level before most ppl end up playing for varsity. Im about 5'8 and thats prob as tall as im going to get but I get about 5 blocks per game and around 10 points. My all time dream is to play for Duke but I live in a really small town and basketball or any sport really at my school is not noticed. What r the chances ill get noticed and have the chance to play college ball at Duke and what can I do to improve these chances?

Man, you're really stuck. There are so many good players that play at a small high school and never get noticed. If you're good enough, you could try out for an AAU or travel team. You're only 15, so you have alot of time left. Unfortunately, being 5'8" isn't going to help, that's small even for a point guard. The fact is that alot of top college teams recruit their players out of prep schools or schools that are known for their programs. I'll be honest, the chances of you being recruited by Duke or any other D-I school are probably zero. You might be able to get some notice from a D-II or D-III school, at least then you could have the experience of college athletics. I'm not trying to say that you're not good, I just think given your situation you're in a rather tough spot.

They are going to notice players who play against the best competition. If you live in a small town, that is not easy to get. Play AAU in the off-season to face good competition and get noticed hopefully. I hope you can realize your dreams, but you can still have a very good college basketball experience at a school with a not-so-high profile. I saw Duke's women's team play at Maryland and they are terrific. Great defenders, they outhustled a hustling Maryland team.

If you can win state, you will get noticed. If not that Duke has basketball camps that they recruit at. They are for improving your game and all but if they see someone good they will talk to them.

It's extremely hard seeing that Duke has the highest ranked recruit team in the nation. Just get noticed and try your hardest.
