Ok, I have identified myself as a a mtf transsexual and I need some help transisting. I currently live in Houston and done some research on what I have to do, but I don't know where any therapists I can talk to about this. Can anyone help me or give me some possible contacts?

http://www.lauras-playground.com/gender_therapists.htm has a list of therapists, as does http://www.tsroadmap.com/mental/therapy.html, which has several questions to ask them and advice to make sure that the therapist is capable of helping you. I'd start with some queer organizations in your area that can refer you if not to a therapist directly, then at least to a trans-friendly doctor who can in turn refer you to a therapist. If you feel comfortable talking to your regular doctor about it, go for it, but I could understand some apprehension there.
