It depends on where the country club is and what the dinner is for.
My country club in North Carolina is very casual and what you described would actually be a bit dressed up for a noraml dinner there. However, my club on Long Island is pretty formal and what you described would be nice but on the verge of being under dressed for a dinner.
You're starting off well to stay away from blacks.
Also, a trick I've learned is to dress down my outfit and throw some accessories in my purse than can dress up my outfit if need be when I get there. This includes a darker tint lipstick...that does wonders to dress up your look on very short notice!

That sounds like it would be fine. Casually dressy is good. Maybe put on some earrings and a necklace. Some make-up wouldn't hurt either. Nothing too heavy but not the nude face look. Some subtle shadow, and little blush or bronzer and a great lipstick. Good to go girl.

country club dinner are usually dress up affairs.
depending upon the material of the dress and when the dinner is..is it in spring..or summer?...
then what you will be wearing seems appropriate.
you can always ask the country club..what do most members wear...?

whilst i'm in this comparable difficulty, I consistently bypass to donning a LBD. you may no longer bypass incorrect that way. gown it up with a pair of diamond stud rings and a diamond tennis bracelet. positioned on a pair of strappy heals, because it extremely is Summertime. As on your boyfriend, he ought to positioned on a tie and jacket. He might positioned on the two a army tournament or a black tournament, because it extremely is a night affair. do no longer positioned on a sundress. keep that for a greater informal affair at your community Chili's eating place with your pals, or the coastline; no longer a u . s . a . club. *LBD = little black gown Have a staggering time! :)

it's better to be over dressed and stand out, than under dressed and stared at.
