yeah check it out. just think about it off and on throughout the day. grind it into your subconscious so when u go to sleep it creeps into your dreams. Then right before you go to sleep use this self hypnotic technique. It sounds weird but it puts me to sleep everytime. Lay flat on your back think: relax my toes(breathe in and out), relax my toes to my knees(in and out), my knees to my hips(in and out), my hip to my shoulders(in and out) full body relax(exhale), relax shoulders to fingertips( in and out), relax entire head and neck area(breathe in and out), tell your mind to dream about the dream and start thinking about it, breathe in and out, tell yourself to fall asleep. You might have to do this a few times before it works but you can eventually control your dreams and dream whatever you like. weird huh,,but cool.

In a way, there is.
If you can recognise when you are dreaming, you can consciously change your dreams. This is known as lucid dreaming and it's actually quite simple once you get some practice with it.
There are certain indicators that you can use to determine that you are experiencing a dream. Numbers and words will make little sense. You shouldn't be able to read or remember simple series of numbers. Objects may be different if you look away, then look back.
Try doing this occasionaly throughout the day: look at an object, look away for a few seconds, then look back and try to notice any differences. Then write down a telephone number and read it to yourself a few times. If you get in the habit of doing this when you are awake, you will repeat the behavior in your sleep. When you see that you are unable to achieve the same results, try changing something in the room with your mind.
Lucid dreaming can be lots of fun and it can help you get rid of nightmares. The first few times, you'll likely awake when you realise that you're asleep, but keep trying. You'll get it eventually.
*** ADDITIONAL ***
I see some people have suggested concentrating on some sort of idea as you fall asleep. This normally doesn't work because the time between falling asleep and beginning to dream is usually quite long. By the time REM sleep begins, you've forgotten wot you were thinking about.
If you're very tired, it may work as you'll enter REM sleep much more quickly, although without being able to dream lucidly, it may not happen as you would like.
Also, I forgot to mention earlier, when you wake up, quickly wirte down everything you can remember about your dreams. This will help you to remember them afterwords, and recognising a recurring dream can help you identify that you're dreaming as well.

You can try thinking about it all day. If people experience certain things in a day they may have a dream about it during the night. It's a very odd thing, but kind of cool. I remember I went to lunch with my friends and in my dream that night I went to lunch with my friends but it was a little weird, since dreams usually are. Also once I thought of my best friend coming home a lot one day and she ended up coming home in my dream. I don't know if just thinking about things really helps you have that dream you want but it worked for me once.

Sometimes...
you have to really focus on it while you are dozing off.. I mean, it REALLY has to mean something to you for it to work.. and this takes a lot of practice.
Unfortunately.. its hard to focus on something & go to sleep at the same time.
Your best way to get a good dream of what you want is to go to sleep and then wake up a few hours shy of when you normally do (so you are tired).. Then focus on your topic and fall back asleep.. people have the most vivid dreams towards the end of the sleep cycle --

Yes, it's called lucid dreaming and it's a lot of fun.
Here's one technique:
Get in the habit of asking yourself "Is this a dream?" several times a day.
Eventually that will spill over into your dream and you'll realize that you're dreaming!
Then you can do all sorts of neat stuff.

Takes practice.
You can at least call a subject matter to mind by thinking about it before you sleep, concentrating, meditating, whatever.
Some peole CAN lucid dream, in whcih they knw they're dreaming and can make choices.
IDK how to begin to do that, though.
You can look it up!

no.dream is activity that is beyond the control of a conscious mind.UNLIKE DAY-DREAMING dream's in night come in variety of imaginations-like if you fear something bad and keep thinking about it ,their is chance that the situation you fear will occur in your dream and you begin to respond to it as if you are really facing the situation.you can see the proof->some people will actually remember a part\whole of the dream which they dream 't the previous night and sometimes you will yourself know that it is exactly corresponds to your feared or expecting situation.
dreams that come in night cannot be controlled by the dreamer and he can ONLY WITNESS THE HAPPENINGS.
