This made a chart with 8 lines, add H cells for 9 lines:
I went into excel and entered in cells A1 - G1 letters A-G.
Then I entered random numbers in cells A2-G2, B2-G2, A3-B3..etc until I had 8 rows of 7 numbers per row.
I then went to Insert in the toolbar of Excel, from there I chose Chart, then line (for Chart Type), then the subtype with points on lines and a x and y axis represented.
Next I chose cells A1 to G9 to be in the Data Range when I hit next in the Chart Wizard (step 2 of 4).
Then I chose the series to be represented in Rows.
I hit next two more times and then finish.
On my line chart there was a range of numbers from lowest to highest going from bottom to top (this is on the left hand x axis)
On the bottom were letters from a to g
And I had eight lines going from left to right with each series of numbers represented by points
Hope this helps

The best answer I can give you is to use the "help" on EXCEL, search for chart. That will give you the best possible information.
Microsoft has a free learning site for all its products too, go to Microsoft.com and search for excel chart

Go to the chart wizard. If you don't get the results you want, change order in which you input your information.

Since your data is in columns, you have to set the options to collect the data in columns not rows. below is a link that shows you how it's done
