I have learned about 6 basic chords. I found a song and I need to know how to change the chords quickly. When I do it slowly the song doesn't sound like its right.

For one, you have to be able to "grab" a chord without having to look at your hand. You have to not even think about how your has to to make that chord when you see it on paper.

Practice, practice and practice makes perfect. I suggest you pick a couple of the chords you know and practice going back and forth between the two, so that you can do it from one strum and back on the next. Practice that with all the chords that you know and you'll have it.

Good luck

practice is crucial, of course... proper fingering (which fingers you put where) is really important. a beginner book will show you proper finger placement for each chord, which will help you change from one chord to another. you just have to stick with it and eventually you won't have to think about it so much... it will become more fluid and natural. if you are just starting out, remember that you are asking your fret hand to do things it has never done before, so give it time, and practice every chance you get. good luck and DON'T QUIT
