If this was 2 or 3 years ago, I would say an 8, but right now I would have to give you a 3 or 4
C-Molina is a very good catcher but offensivly doesnt produce much, he went undrafted in my last 2 drafts
1b-Helton was a great hitter but has had 2 bad seasons in a row coupled with trade talks you dont know what you will get.
2b-Biggio once again is a great all time player but he does not offer much anymore in fantasy value. There are probably 15 second basemen i would take before him
3b-Rolen was the best third basmen in baseball 4 years ago but with shoulder surgery and inconsistant hitting he has steadily declined. If you took him in a later round then its not a terrible guy to have there.
SS-Renteria is another player who several years ago was very good but his stock has gone down greatley. There are probably 6 or 7 better shortstops out there, renteria has never been the same since going to boston.
OF-Vernon wells, one of hte top outfielders in baseball
OF-Magglio is not hte player he was several years ago either, he had a solid year last year, but not a great one
OF-Jim Edmonds is another player who several years ago was on the top of peoples lists, but i feel you could easily find a better outfielder to start for yourself.
UTL-Delgado is a solid utility, he is really ont eh decline though
BN-Derek Lee could have another great year, its unclear if that year two years ago was a fluke, Eric Byrnes is terribl eand im sure there are better players available in your free agents list
SP-Johan Santana-Best pitcher in baseball, good work
SP-Pedro Martinez-Used to be the best pitcher in baseball, but wont play for over half the season because of injury, and even then most people dont know if he will be effective or not, not so good work.
SP-Francisco Liriano-Should be the best pitchre in baseball, but isnt pitching for the ENTIRE season, so his was a poor move
RP-Gonzalez will probably be the closer for Atlanta, so he's solid
P-Schilling-theres no telling what he will be, he's old, he's fat, he has no ankle. Besides, these pitchre spots are usually used to get releif pitchers, not more starters. if you only have one reliever your screwed in the saves category.
P-Jason Schmidt-several years ago he was the best picher in the NL, now hes very inconsistant
P-Mussina-Perrenial allstar 5 years ago, but now is over the hill, may still put up 10-15 wins
BN-Andy Pettite is old, he almost retired, he coudl be ok...
BN-Ted Lilly is a free agent in many leagues

4 - too many pitchers, none of them are closers. Only 1 is even in the bullpen. Liriano can't help you unless your league is tied at the end and you go into extra years.. he's gone until at least April of 2008. Martinez is in rehab and may pitch after July. No speed and not that much power. Edmonds gets hurt every year and you have 1 backup that is marginal. You are carrying 3 1B's, no back up to Biggio and overloaded on pitchers that are marginal.
In a std 5x5 12 team roto, this team finishes 8th (only because 4 teams will quit by August 1st)

I give it a 6. You have way to many holes in your lineup. Helton is coming off a sub par year and the Rookies tried to get rid of him. Edmonds has been fading for a couple of years. Biggio is just hangingon for the 3000 hits. Your pitching is pretty solid except that Liriano is out for the season and Pedro's Mangina is already starting to hurt. Look to make some trades or exlore free agents. This team is middle of the pack at best.

O ther than Santana this teams horrible. I've been playing for 8 years. There are no big bats in you lineup and most of you pitchers are washed up vets. Also Liriano is out the whole year. I give it a 2 just bc Rolen and Edmonds are on the team and I am the biggest Cardinals fan. Go Cards!

I'm sorry I'd said 3 at best. You have a lot of injury issues- Pedro, Liriano, Petitte, maybe Schmidt. See if you can trade a few of those guys off and get a little younger

3- Not even close to a good team.
Edmonds is out for a while, and wont be any good when he comes back. Liriano is out for the season. Perdro is out for half of the season. You have no closers. After Santanna, you have a staff of pitchers who are no.3 fantasy pitchers.
Pathetic.

why are you starting liriano when he is hurt?
and you should trade away one of your first baseman (delgado, helton, or lee) for somebody good because all three of them have the potential to be real fantasy studs\
i would say a 7
