There are no federal elections in 2007 at all. Federal elections only happen in even-numbered years: presidential every four, house seats every two, and senate seats every six but those are staggered such that not all senate seats are up for grabs every six years.

The only time there might be an election in 2007 would be a local election, i.e. school board or something similar to that.

It is not a cancer. It is just relatively minor elections, with the exception of some candidates for Congress. Will the elections in 2007 disrupt the Presidential election of '08? Not really. Both will have horrid turn outs.

There are no federal elections for 2007. There are local elections, but none of them have major impacts. All major elections (including national house and Senate races) occur on even numbered years. 2007 elections will have minimal impact at best.
