I have a friend who is almost 20 weeks, and doesn't look pregnant and has lost weight. By 6 months women usually show really well, also depends on the size of the person.

You might gain 5 pounds in the first 3 months, and then after that it'd be about a pound a week. But she wouldn't start "showing" until about 4-5 months. So your friend may indeed be pregnant...weight gain isn't really obvious for the first few months.
For reference, I'm 11 weeks (2 1/2 months!) and I've actually lost 3 pounds since I got pregnant (from throwing up nearly every day). In the first 3 months the baby is really small and you don't have to eat much extra for it yet, and it isn't big enough to swell up your abdomen. Hope I helped!

I am in my 19th week and I have lost 20 lbs. My weight loss is due to morning sickness and some change in eating habits. Its not a bad thing that hse has not gained weight. She should discuss it with her dr. and at 2 and ahlaf months you cant teven hrdly tell you are pregnant unlees you have morning sickness and cravings. She wont be feeling movement yet and she wont start showing yet... Like I said I am 19 weeks, shich is almost 5 months and Im not showing yet. The baby is mostly developing body parts right now and in the 18th week will start growing...and your friend will start feeling movement between 16 and 22 weeks along, which is normal. And may not gain much weight until after the half way point which is 20 weeks.

It depends on the girl honestly. I gained 5lbs at 3 months just barely. Some don't gain a thing til there 6 1/2 to 7 months my friend didn't get big til the very end and all it looks like is that she has a basketball under her shirt.

It depends on the person. My doctor says that a healthy amount of weight to gain is between 25-35 pounds...After you get thorugh the first trimester( I lost weight) You usually gain about a pound a week. I would say I looked chubby around 20 weeks. But at 28 weeks I couldn't hide it if I tried.

This can depend on a couple of factors. Whether or not your friend is overweight, whether or not your friend is carrying a girl or a boy. Typically weight gain with a male pregnancy shows up faster 15-20 weeks. A female pregnancy is more like 18-22 weeks. But with either, you can 'show' before a substantial weight gain occurs.

With my first, I gained 30 kilos, yet he became into born at 31 weeks, weighing 4 kilos, 3 oz.. I possibly could have gained yet another 10 kilos or so if I went finished term. i'm 20 a million/2 weeks pregnant now and gained 11 kilos. I found out my lesson and am ingesting plenty extra healthy than final time. not extra ingesting luggage of Doritos and packing containers of Oreos all by utilising myself!

Allow me to let you in on a little secret..........
With my 1st son, I gained 50lbs. (yes 50lbs.) because I didn't know how to care for myself.....I thought I could eat whatever I wanted....
I LEARNED MY LESSON....I am currently 7 months pregnant...lost 3 lbs. during the first 3 months (which are the hardest ones I think) then gained 5. So I've really gained very little....because I work out & eat right....
So, you really can't judge, it just depends on the person..............
