i was wondering what you all prefered...pads or tampons?

i dont want an unbiased answer b/c im not stupid and i know there are good things and bad things about both. i want a fair and unbiased and thorough answer and then you will get 10 points!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

pads. cause i haven't use tampons be4. its just something my mum advised me not to use. its something about virginity i guess. haha. but eventually i'm ok with pads although some gals say that its uncomfortable n all.. i wonder y,cause i dun feel the uncomfortness at all.. maybe i'm already use to it after so long. for me having something like tampons, inside my orivate place is the uncomfortable thing. so i'm with pads! woohooo! go pads! :)

Well, depending on the day and the flow.. I will use one, the other, or both. If its a heavy day... I'll use a tampon with a light pad underneath JUST in case I don't get to change it on time. When I'm at home, I'll use pads because it's just me and my husband and I'm comfortable.. not up and walking around or assisting customers like i would while at work.

You also use the best type of tampon according to your flow. Never use a heavy tampon on a light day as the more absorbent the tampon, the higher the risk of TSS. The maximum about of time you should leave one in is 8 hours (I always take them out way before that). And never put two in at once :) But I think that every women knows that! lol

I don't like pads but wear them as much as possible because tampons seem to block my flow. Sometimes my period will just stop for a day or two after wearing a tampon then all of a sudden come back full force out of nowhere. Yuk. I would rather get it out as fast as possible and pads help keep your flow going instead of stopping you up. I find that tampons don't really absorb anything well anyway with me. It just leaks out the side.. I wear tampons when going out somewhere social or in the summertime because I don't feel as gross. I always have baby wipes at home and travel ones on the go. I clean up often and cahnge pads often It keeps me fresher than just bleeding all over. I highly recommend personal wipes either way. ;) JB

I used to use tampons starting after 18 but after a number of years I found that they were becoming more problematic for me. Turned out that I had a medical condition unrelated to the tampons themselves that made them problematic for me when it came to insertion of the tampon. I finally went back to pads about 5 or 6 years ago and I have found that I prefer pads and done much better. I use the Always brand because that's what works best for me.

wel i like tampons the best but for the night i dont want to worry about TSS so i use a exta long pad that is huge so during the night when i toss and turn i dont get a leak somehow. but during the day i use tampons w/ a thin panty liner in case of leaks. I dont like pads caus they are all messy and tampons are easy (all you have to do is watch the time)

I don't like either. Tampons are uncomfortable and pads leak and are uncomfortable. I use cheap washcloths, white folded in three and they absorb and don't leak and I put them in a lidded bowl of bleach water and then launder as usual. If I am having a light day I will use a thin pad but I swear they make them to fail so you have to buy more. Really! They can put a man on the moon and they pee in zero gravity and they haven't given us a good pad yet? So, that is my solution, I wear a long top and dark jeans and go on my way. Good luck.

Tampons...A pad feels 2 much like a diaper 4 me.&,I quit wearing those a very long time ago.U also have 2 worry 2 much about pads.

I prefer pads because it's much easier to deal with and more comftorable somewhat but the bad think is it might leak through ur underwear if your're not carefull...that's when tampons come in handy.

I prefer pads with wings because they don't leak as much as a regular pad and they are more comfortable to me than tampons.

i prefer pads. i dont like the feelings of tampons, it hurts and i just cant even seem to put them in. it doesnt bother me that i cant swim or be in water. ya they might be less uncomfortable, but using a tampon is just weird to me. it doesnt really bother me having on a pad as much as it does trying to put a tampon in. this is just my opinion though.
