Well, Bush took away your freedom...what do you have to say to him?

Do I need to remind you that it is a right-wing Republican president who is spending 4 billion dollars a week on your tax money on the war in Iraq? Altogether we have now spent nearly $500 billion on this stupid war with no end in sight. This is your money that could have been given back to you or spent elsewhere in this country to improve your own life, such as building highways and other public projects that we an all enjoy. Do I need to remind you that it is the same right-wing Republican president who signed the Patriot Act so that the government can spy on its citizens? Do I need to remind you that the Republicans are the ones who want to get into your personal business and tell you who you can and cannot get married to or love? They want to take away you right to choose to live or die. You are about to lose your civil liberties and other freedoms, not because of the democrats, but because of George Bush and his Republican cronies! Wake up. Think for yourself. I am not a fan of the liberal dems either, but you have to take control of your own government and your own destiny. You have the power to elect a government that reports to you, a government that answers to you. Don't let anyone, Republicans or Democrats or any politician take away your freedom to think for yourself and determine your own destiny. If you value freedom so much, then stop condoning this right-wing conservative government led by the neo-fascist George Bush.

The Patriot Act was a Republican idea. So I don't understand why you say our freedom is going due to Democrats. I am curious how, without raising taxes, we are going to pay for Bush's war. He takes funds from Sesame Street, he takes money from the Veterans Administration, he has already stolen from every other fund except SocialSecurity but that's only because the Democrats wouldn't let him. This keeps up and we'll be broke but if that 's what you want that's what you'll get.

Their general agenda is to tax those who can be taxed to pay for their social agenda. If you are making a profit, or are an alleged middle class person who has a good income, then you should be ashamed of yourself and pay more in taxes so that there can be equality for all. The poor are poor because you made them so. In a nut shell, that is their point of view.. For those who wish to criticize the efforts in Iraq, you really do not understand the rational of the militant Islamic extremists. They would like nothing better than to see America in ruins. To them we are the worst scourge on the earth and must be destroyed. That is their goal. Better to stop them there, than here. Negotiating with them is out of the question. Their religion says convert, or die. They prefer the die part for America.
True, the national debt is high, it is however high for a just cause, our continued freedom. The Democrats tend to believe that we can negotiate with them, we tried that 200 some odd years ago, and finally got tired of the ransom money, and did something about it.
Rather than blame President Bush for all of this, blame yourselves for not being more active in government. You have done little if anything to tell your legislative representatives how you feel, but now you whine about it. By your past lack of activity, you have been in favor of all that has happened, so why whine about it now?

Yes, I want to take away all your freedoms--and I want to
raise all your taxes. First I have to find out if you really have
a job???Then I have to find out if you make enough annual
income to actually PAY taxes. Then I'll figure out some other
way to persecute you. Yes, that is what us damn Christian
Democrats do--we are just low class slobs living off you little
McDonald employees.

Why do Rethuglicans take my hard-earned money and waste it on the war in Iraq and abstinence-based sex ed?

No matter who you are and what you believe, if you live in a society with a formal government, they will end up taxing you and spending at least some of the money they collect on something YOU don't like.

Either learn to live with it, or find an uninhabited island to move to.

Dude....that's the price of shock and awe and giving freedom to Iraqis....ain't it beautiful...$500 Billion for defense has to come from somewhere...be proud of your contribution.

Somewhere a freedom loving Iraqi is busy building an IED and thanking you for providing him with such wonderful freedom through your charitable donations to the US Government. Give often...

You aren't free to set up your own police force, navy, or FBI, nor are you free to build your own roads and bridges or to maintain them as you see fit. Taxes take care of all that. It's called shared responsibility. It's part of the social contract you are party to (ref. Hobbes, Locke, Rousseau).

You don't care about freedom.

let's keep cutting taxes and let's keep the deficit going up.
It's cheap money, all to do is print more, it's just stupid paper.
Beside, it seems like the whole planet likes the dollar so, let's keep printing it for those chinese...
oops, there is that Euro that starts to look good.
Ok, so maybe it won't work indefinitely and we might have 18% interest rate like the 1980s if we keep going.
So, let's cut gvt spending... where, oh I see, military.
Opps, that's where the republican loves to *spend*
That's where a lot of your taxes go unfortunately.
