I want to record a CD of my music to sell online. But I have no idea how recording studios work. If I rent a studio I will have no idea how to work it, and i also don't know how you can do good home recordings. can anyone fill me in a little on this?

Good home recording take lots of time and/or experience, not to mention quality gear. Sorry...no easy answers for this one. What type of music and which instruments are you planning to use? Most studios either have staff engineers to run sessions or can recommend egineers for you.

You don't "work" a studio, you hire someone with the proper training to do it for you. If you're not trained, forget about it.
