1. He doesn't have the singing voice/range as the others. 2. Even he was surprised he gets to stay another week 3. It's a singing competition.

Certainly not me. His singing is as bad as Antonella's. But people are voting on looks and popularity and apparently not on singing which is sad. I can't even imagine him or Antonella being the next American Idol, but it could happen if they keep getting the popular vote. American Idol needs to change the voting system because it isn't a fair system at all.

Since when did anyone have to have a good voice to become a singing star. Most of those getti9ng wealthy from making recordings couldn't begin to sing properly.
Many like the guns and roses. None of them had any talent when they started. read the history of punk.
MOst likely it is the girls noting just because he has nice hair or something like that. Talent sure is not needed to become famous.

the only people i can think of would be young girls or old ladies... but lets face it no matter how "cute" he is.. hes extremely unexperianced and his voice and performing skills just do not match up with what an american idol should have... as far as antonella i think people are just voting for her cause shes getting alot of press and because shes pretty... hopefully next week america gets its act together for the top 12!

Exactly.
I primarily think it's the fact that he's Indian American and theres lots of Indians here in America that probably voted for him to keep him in the game cause he's the first Indian to make it to the final rounds.
It's terrible now that people are getting voted off based on their popularity and looks...AJ should have stayed....but hey...this IS America.

It's just because American is a cruel, almost unbearable world and people have unfair judging rubrics. Sometimes it just goes by looks, and not the voice. I think Antonella didn't get kicked off just cuz of those slutty pictures. UGH!!!!

I was debating whether or not to post the exact same question. He's ugly, his voice is very mediocre, he's not self-confident (you can tell by his posture), and there's no way anyone would buy his album if he won.
**Oh, yeah, and his hair is GAY!! That's girly hair - not so hot on a guy!!
