his brother probably told the truth. His brother doesnt care about the first guy's reputation and has little to gain by making up a fairly original lie like that might have been. Talking out of both sides of the mouth.

Um ok but I don't see the question here. Anyway, he may have more then one best friend and I don't see the point of him lying to you and saying you were if you aren't but anything is possible. Have a nice day or night.

does it really matter who his best friend is? as long as you are friends with this person, that's all that matters. and you know it is possible to have more than one best friend
