i took a hpt (home pregnancy test) it shows a bright purple line and a very faint purple line! R we finally goin to get our baby joy?

I hope so, you sound like you really want this. A very faint purple line could definitely mean your pregnant, the test is detecting the hormones, it does not always show a bright or complete as the control line.( I am assuming the control line is the bright one, either way a good sign you are pregnant) see your doctor for a blood test. In the mean time Any time you are trying to conceive or think you may be pregnant act pregnant. No alcohol, no drugs and be very careful about over the counter drugs. Advise your doctors that you are trying to conceive and may be pregnant before they prescribe you any drugs or do any radiation based tests. Good luck and happy pregnancy to you.

I took a test that showed a + for a positive pregnancy test and the vertical line was faint. Depends on the test, but the line is faint because it's early in the pregnancy.

If you read it within the 10 min time frame then yes its positive..any line no matter how faint means its positive.....Congratsss and Good Luck!

I've never really heard of many false positives. So..... congratulations. Buy a couple more and take them tomorrow morning, also get a blood test from your doc. Once again congrats

from my own experience, ANY line means YES! Wait until tomorrow morning and test again, or go to your doctor and get a test from her. Congratulations and I hope your dream comes true!
