Our son Falcon was born just 2 months ago on December the 31st. Since that time we have been sexually active 3 times. We have not practiced safe sex (beyond the "pull out" method that is), believing that it wasn't possible for her to get pregnant while breastfeeding. But now she feels all bloated and her hips are hurting (signs she had that she was pregnant before). Is this even possible? Please help!

Also, she has not yet experienced a menstrual cycle since the pregnancy (again, due to breastfeeding - or so I thought).

Well, I have this friend who has 3 kids who are 3, 2, and 1 because she kept thinking breastfeeding was the same as birth control. Even if your wife hasn't gotten her periods back, it was possible she ovulated and was GOING to get a period 2 weeks after ovulating...but never got the chance to have a period because the egg got fertilized. Sometimes breastfeeding works, sometimes it doesn't...but if it doesn't, the woman is actually MORE fertile than before she got pregnant the first time, for about a year after giving birth. I hope she's not pregnant again so soon if you don't want another baby yet, and it's possible her body is just still going through some changes while trying to get back to normal after being pregnant for nine months. Or maybe she's just about to get her period but forgot what pms feels like (who can blame her, with as long as it's been?). Just go buy her an HPT so you'll know for sure. Good luck!

It is possible. Breastfeeding is not a 100% effective method of birth control. My cousin got pregnant again 4-5 weeks after she delivered! I teased her plenty about not waiting for her 6 week check up to get the green light from the doc to resume sex again. Also, just because your wife did not have a period YET, does not mean that she did'nt already ovulate, and you just happened to fertilize that egg before she could shed it with having a period. Understand? I am 19 weeks pregnant, this is my 4th pregnancy, and my husband and i did the old "pull out" method too...turns out, that's not as foolproof as we thought! I'd have her take a test. Just to give you a little reassurance, her hips could be hurting because she did just give birth, and her hips are slowly going back to pre-baby width, and the bloating could have alot to do with postpartum hormones. Still, i would tkae a test if you and she are concerned, because it can and DOES happen even shortly after giving birth. Good luck to you!

It's not true that you can't get pregnant while breastfeeding. You can get pregnant right away after giving birth. But they say it's better to wait, to let your body get back into a normal cycle. Your best bet is to take a pregnancy test and talk to your doctor.

I got pregnant with my second son when my first was 4 months I had just stopped nursing. Yes, she could be. My two boys are now 3 and 4 and are best buddys.
Its pretty rough for the first couple of years but then it gets better.

before everything, do no longer hardship. A white couple had a black toddler, did a touch diagnosis, and that they found out that she had a black woman in her relatives 80 years in the past; the genes in basic terms did no longer come out till that new toddler! Nature is a humorous ingredient. Take my relatives: all extremely obese, all want glasses, all the comparable noses. Then there is me, who seems thoroughly unique; i've got have been given a great rapid metabolism and that i do no longer positioned on glasses. i assumed i grow to be accompanied for YEARS because of fact i glance no longer something like absolutely everyone in my relatives. yet I had a happy formative years because of fact I had the affection of my mum and dad.

Could be. I'd talk to a doctor, I don't know how accurate a pregancy test would be since she just had a baby. But if she's not, you should get her on some birth control. My husband has a cousin who got pregant 30 days after she had her first baby.

Yup, it's possible -- breastfeeding reduces the chances of getting preggers, but it doesn't eliminate the possibility. Get a home pregnancy test and see what it says!

It's easy to get pregnant after having a baby. I didn't breastfeed and got on birth control 2 weeks after delivery, it cuts back on the chances but I'd say she's a few weeks pregnant.

It's improbable, but it has been known to happen. Could be you two are one of the lucky couples. She should consult her doctor about this right away; having babies this close together poses certain risks to a woman's body that she should know about as soon as possible.
